Am Kai vor dem Museum sind Objekte lokaler Künstler ausgestellt, und eine Bühne direkt am Wasser bietet Platz für kulturelle Veranstaltungen. Am anderen Ufer befindet sich der recht überschaubare Yachthafen der Stadt.
Das Museum selbst zeigt ständige und wechselnde Ausstellungen über die Geschichte der Provinz Bohuslän und das Leben mit und am Wasser sowie wechselnde Kunstaustellungen und lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Fotografieren war nicht erlaubt, Kataloge und Postkarten gab es leider auch keine.

On the quay in front of the museum, objects of local artists are shown and a small stage on the waterfront invites to cultural events. The museum itself is well worth a visit, showing not only permanent and varying exhbitions about the county and its history, and the living with and off the sea, but also varying art exhibtions of regional artists. Photographing wasn't permitted and neither catalogues nor postcards to be had.
