In der "gamla stan" befindet sich auch eine der ältesten Kirchen Südschwedens, St. Laurentius, berühmt für ihr sehr gut erhaltenes, bemaltes Holzgewölbe. Teile des Baus gehen auf das 13. Jh. zurück.
